Another comparable place to Tic Toc Cafe would be Moksha Caffe. Located near St Peter's Church, this coffee shop do not look too special from the outside, but definitely worths a stop once you've seen the inside. I've discovered this place when I met my dissertation tutor there, and since then, I keep coming back especially for their amazing oat cookies.
This coffee is a very calm place where you can enjoy a range of freshly made sandwiches, quiches and original cakes. The food is quite good and besides, Moksha Caffe was ranked on the top 10 of the best caffe at Brighton Foodies Awards. Some sofas are also available to seat comfortably with your friends or alone with your computer (yes you can perfectly study there as it is generally very quiet). However, be careful during the weekend because lots of families come with their children to have coffee their. Indeed, they offer an ample space for buggies , kids hot chocolates, babyccino, organic baby food, and apparently very nice toasties...
